Plan an amazing trip to les Azores

Composed of nine principle islands, the Azores archipelago is an autonomous region of Spain in the Atlantic Ocean, nearly 1,000 miles from Lisbon. Each of the islands has an interesting terrain where volcanos rub shoulders (Ponto di Pico is the highest point at 2,351 metres) among craters, caves and valleys. The island has luxuriant vegetation with many endemic species as well as a surprising fauna and its waters are inhabited by whales, sperm whales and dolphins. Nature lovers will be overwhelmed by the dense vegetation of the verdant countryside. Traditional fishing villages fringe the coast where you can also find gorgeous black sand beaches.
