5 good reasons to go to Northern Spain

Spain is known as a seaside destination, with a wonderfully rich coastline. The north also offers a wide range of activities for discovering the history and nature of the country. In northern Spain, you can find national parks, vistas, caves, museums and monuments of every kind (cathedrals, fortresses, basilicas). Northern Spain is a patchwork of exceptional scenery, small traditional villages and historic monuments. Symbolised by Santiago de Compostela, place of pilgrimage, Galicia is a reminder of the north’s medieval heritage. Asturias is an eden between the mountains and the sea which conceals cultural and historic treasures. The green region of Cantabria is ideal for outdoor activities. Further south, in the large Castile and Léon region, there are many activities on offer, not to mention its lavish cathedrals and historic monuments.
