Plan an amazing trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands

The Turks and Caicos Islands, between Cuba and the Bahamas in the Caribbean, are an ideal ‘sun, sea and sand’ holiday destination. The archipelago is composed of thirty islands which invite you to relax at the turquoise water’s edge on white sand beaches lined with coconut palms.
In the capital, Cockburn Town on the island of Grand Turk, you can discover the history of the Turks and Caicos Islands in the National Museum. Stroll through the town to explore the picturesque houses and the wonderful, colourful market perfumed with the island’s spices. Take a look at the lighthouse which has guided ships through the archipelago’s waters for so many years. Divers will enjoy the coral reefs, fish, turtles and species of shark which embellish the sea bed. Back on land, you can watch a large number of sea birds.
On Providenciales, the most populous island, you can find Caicos Conch Farm, where you will shown the process of harvesting these molluscs. You can also walk along the long and very beautiful Grace Bay Beach, an idyllic place where you can lounge on the sand and enjoy a range of water sports, if that’s your thing.
The local culinary specialities are influenced by the flavours of the West Indies. You can try conch and fish dishes as well as meat colombo and chicken marinated in spices. And of course, it wouldn’t be a tropical holiday without rum and cocktails!
